MoreIt is the middle of summer for Joseph. Time to visit with his Aunt Opal, who never quite acts her age and wears her hair in two long braids with overalls and flip-flops. Opal has a cat named Tulip. Tulip has one special place to take her naps. Joseph discovers Opal's love for ice cream sandwiches, and for a very different kind of pet. Aunt Opal teaches the kindergarten class at Sunday school with Bernice. Joseph helps them make their float for the Fourth of July parade. Aunt Opal takes him to Jack Farmer's farm. Jack's wife Anna teaches him how to milk a cow, and he learns to watch out for the ducks at the park. Opal and Joseph will go strawberry picking and make strawberry preserves for Joseph to take home. This summer would be no different. Joseph and his dad will take their annual camping trip. Joseph will try to teach his dad to swim. Do you think he will? Watching the old Godzilla movie at the drive-in, Joseph wants to have a party, but his dad will have to think about it. Joseph gets to see his aunt and Tulip again. They will have one fun-filled night with barbecued hamburgers and a game of baseball. Ice cream sandwiches will also be involved. Sit, relax, and have a fun-filled adventure with Joseph in Joseph's Summer.
