Billy and Kathy Masters find plenty of excitement while exploring their Great Grandfather's run-down mansion for hidden treasure. Rumor has it that their Great Grandfather Was a Pirate, and that he'd stashed a pile of gold somewhere on the property. Old Man Parker, a gnarly old neighbor and probably a pirate himself, adds weight to the rumor when he secretly shows the the kids a solid gold doubloon. He pulled a gold coin from his pocket and shoved it at us. "There's plenty more where that came from," he said, "it was piled a foot high all over the table." Billy and Kathy's imagination run rampant as they secretly and systematically search the estate from top to bottom for the rumored treasure. Their persistence leads to secret rooms hidden below the floors of the old mansion and near death as they discover the underground tunnels and caves burrowed deep in the cliffs overlooking Everett Bay.
