Being completely alone was not new to Kaey. She had been alone most of her life and was used to it, so the feeling of loneliness that had erupted inside her was like an old friend. Feeling completely alone, Kaey walked home with Alex. When they reached the edge of the forest, she saw a shadow at the base of a tree. Bending down to pick it up, she smiled. The black rose in her hand was still opening its petals. Sighing deeply, Kaey bent down and laid the flower back at the base of the tree. Continuing to walk deeper and deeper into the woods, the nymphs began to call to her. Dead. Dead. Your Fault. Your Fault. You killed her. As in their pervious encounters, the voices of the nymphs were barely more than a whisper, more like a breath of air than a voice.
