Sheila Reynolds, born Sheila Huber, was raised in the rural community of Boxley, Arkansas. She and husband Bobby have three sons. She is employed at Deer School in Deer, Arkansas. Her book, Daddy's Penny, was inspired by the feelings some Arkansas residents have about so many Mexican immigrants migrating to Arkansas seeking a better life. In the book, the feelings that the character Penny has about skin color change completely when she is put to the test of survival. Often it takes hard times for a person to appreciate the life he or she has as Penny learns well. Sheila hopes to touch the hearts and minds of children and their parents with this story. In doing so, she believes it will be a better America.
