Granddad's Circus is a collection of stories for children in kindergarten to grade five as well as toddlers who like to hear stories. The title story is an account of the author's circus visit as a child and brings to the current generation a picture of circuses of days past. The other stories are bits of fantasy that hopefully leave the reader with good and happy thoughts. For the young reader there is a story of bunny rabbits busily preparing eggs for Easter baskets. Older children will recognize their own social traits in several of the story characters. The tale of a little girl in long ago Japan and a very magical bird is pure fantasy. The stories are meant to stir the imaginations of young children and in an entertaining way present a moral lesson. The author hopes to present the young reader with a problem and its solution.
