Hop is a little frog that has a mom that is a green frog and a dad that is a bullfrog. His friends laugh at him because he doesn't sound like a green frog or a bullfrog. So he spends much of his time hiding in the tall grasses watching his friends play. He meets a fairy princess that tells him that he is "special." She is special and she thinks that's wonderful. Hop informs her that she is so very different, of course she is special. He is just a little different, and when you are just a little different, you aren't really special at all. In the end, Hop saves all of his friends from a big owl. Then everyone thinks he is special. Hop knows that he isn't any more special than he was before. But what he does discover is that being "just different" can sometimes be enough.
