Cinda is a new teacher. As she prepares her classroom, the other teachers notice her beautiful bulletin boards and they quickly become jealous of her. They take her invitation for a special luncheon and make her clean their chalk boards. Mr. Glen, the custodian, and her loving class come to her rescue. They help her clean the boards so she can attend the luncheon. Little does Cinda know, but her class and Mr. Glen entered her in a contest. Unfortunately, they forgot to include her name!

After walking through the entire school, the principal discovers Cinda's beautiful room and she is presented with the "Creative Teacher of the Year" award. Eventually the other teachers apologize to Cinda and try some of her ideas. Cinda continues to believe in herself throughout the story despite the lack of support from her fellow teachers.
