It began in 1956 in West Palm Beach, Florida, where three eleven year old children try to find a ghost that lives in the Chauncey House Mansion.

The story switches to England in the year 1860, where the original Chauncey family have their estates.

Young Neville and his wife Martha are forced to flee to America in order to escape an unscrupulous law man who helps kidnap young women and then sells them to the highest bidder.

While Neville and Martha are traveling to San Francisco on the luxurious passenger train called the OLGA, they become heroes when they assist in stopping the train from being robbed by eleven gunmen.

Years later they settle in West Palm Beach, Florida, and build a duplicate mansion of their home as it was in England.

After the deaths of the Chauncey's, the mansion was left to a second cousin, Jonathan Crawford, who lived in England. He arrived in Florida after deciding to make a drastic change in his life.

Soon after arriving, Jonathan meets and falls in love with Catherine Garrett, and also helps save the Chauncey estate from ruthless thieves.
