The first tale is "Perils of the Eve of All Hallows." It's Halloween night, the Eve of all Hallows, and twenty-four people are missing without a trace from Jerome Thomas's town. Jerome, or "Happy Jack" as he's known to his friends, visits his brother to tell of the disappearances. On his journey home through creepy woodlands, Happy Jack has bizarre encounters with bats, goblins and the creepiest barbecue he's ever witnessed. Will he make home before it's too late?

The second tale is "For Christmas and Foreverland." It's Christmastime and while Happy Jack's friends brag about the material gifts they want and hope to receive Happy Jack longs for something more but can't quite put his finger on what. He travels to Foreverland, a new dimension beyond the earth. He is transcended into a world for those who want to better themselves. He is presented with a wonderful gift -- a dog he calls Toby. Jack and Toby understand each other perfectly and communicate beyond his wildest dreams. Together they learn through their many encounters the true meaning of Christmas ... and life.

The third tale is "C&C, Caesar and Cleopatra, Causes and Consequences." Happy Jack and Toby travel back in time to the days of Caesar and Cleopatra. They first meet Cleopatra who is clearly unhappy with her life. They soon realize that Caesar and Cleopatra have different views on just about everything. Jealousy and the need for revenge become apparent the longer they stay. Someone is planning a murder and has summoned the help of a close friend. Can Jack and Toby reach the victim in time to stop the crime?
