Designed to meet the needs of high school students, undergraduates, and the general public, this comprehsnsive CD-ROM spans American history from 1492 to the present. These historic documents and personal accounts are enchanced by photos, illustrations, and audio and video clips to create a multi-media experience that brings American history to life for students. The CD-ROM features: over 800 documents; 400 photos and illustrations; 30 minutes of video clips; and 90 minutes of audio clips. Each entry begins with a lively, informative discussion of the document's historical context and significance. All documents are indexed by author, date curriculum area, subject and title, and all photos, video clips, and audio clips are also indexed. Both field searching and full Boolean searching are available.
