The focal point for this minicourse on peacemaking is the rich concept of shalom. Shalom suggests not only harmony between members of the human family but also a proper relationship between persons and their God. In this course young people learn the practical skills of peacemaking and then how to apply those skills to common adolescent situations. Becoming a Peacemaker speaks of peace as a reality that must begin within each person and then expand to the world of personal and group relationships. The course challenges young people to make the Christian vision of shalom a reality in their own life and beyond.
