Hasty Hetty is a chicken who is always in a hurry. She packs a picnic and loads up the car--but what has she forgotten? Hasty Hetty is just one of four charming Crazy Racers titles. Crazy Racers are clever little storybooks--and they're also miniature racing cars that toddlers can whiz around on the floor. With a little help from Mom or Dad, kids simply lift the book's front cover, then set the cardboard driver on the flap into a slot, sitting him upright with his steering wheel. Each book has brightly colored plastic wheels that won't break off, and the extra-thick board pages tell the story of an animal who is going places and having fun with friends. Cheerful color illustrations come with easy-reading words and phrases that pre-schoolers can readily understand. (Ages 3-5)
