The aim of this photocopiable Teacher's Resource Pack is to help Home Economists to deliver Technology through Home Economics in the National Curriculum starting next September. The Project is based on work carried out in seven participating LEAs - Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. Each county chose a different starting point, and the essence of their work represents an important resource for Home Economists. Topics covered in separate sections, with examples given of how they might be handled, include classroom materials, use of computer information technology in the classroom, classroom management, beginning to share ideas, INSET, and evaluation. The final seventh section deals with work currently under way in the second half of the Project's duration. This work will be reflected in the Phase 2 Materials which will take the form of a set of cross-curricular case studies, to be published in the spring of 1991.
