Atria Books, and also Simon and Schuster for Young Readers, are both imprints of Simon and Schuster. With a growing Pocket Books hardcover list and the successful publishing of such books as Jennifer Lauck's Blackbird and Shanghai Baby by Wei Hui, came the founding, of a new imprint -- Atria Books. A commercial fiction and non-fiction publishing house pledged to bring the world a wealth of timely, important, and entertaining publications. Atria Books is the home of several best-selling authors including Judith McNaught, Vince Flynn, Jennifer Weiner, Jodi Picoult, Marlo Thomas, Zane, Jude Deveraux, Bishop TD Jakes, and his Holiness the Dalai Lama. Atria Books also publishes literary fiction and serious non-fiction hardcover books as well as trade paperbacks under the Washington Square Press imprint. In recent years Atria has placed a strategic emphasis on publishing for diverse audiences. While Atria Books primarily consists of adult fiction and non-fiction, Atria Books also does some childrens books. Atria Book Publishing is primarily fiction and non-fiction. Atria House Publications is primarily non-fiction. Simon and Schuster for Young Readers publishes childrens books.
